Tryouts

Dear Players/Parents,

Park Ridge Baseball/Softball is pleased to announce the dates for the Boys Warrior Traveling Teams tryouts. To secure your child's tryout spot, please send an email to warriors@prbaseball.com and in the subject line, type the full name of your child and the age he will be trying out for. If he played in the 10 year old league this past summer, he will be trying out for the 11 year old team next year (ex. Subject: John Smith 11). Please download and print the evaluation form and fill in the top portion (except the are for number, he will be assigned that at the tryouts) and make sure he brings it to the tryouts.

If you are a parent and are interested in managing the team, please send me an email to svogg@bfcprint.com explaining why you would like to manage the team, your qualifications and include a cell phone we can reach you at. We will talk to all potential managerial candidates and once a player has made the team, the selections committee will chose the manager (pending PR Baseball Board approval).

Any child who lives in the Park Ridge Park District boundary and/or played in our program last year is welcome to tryout. It is imperative that every child is makes both tryout dates.

A reminder: The Warrior teams will consist of 12 players and be selected for it's overall competitiveness and depth. The final decision is not limited to the results of the child's tryouts. Statistics and observations from the previous year will be included. In addition to the criteria posted @ prbaseball.com, observers/evaluators will be looking for:

· Discipline

· Hustle/Effort

· Enthusiasm

· Concentration / Mental Awareness

· Sportsmanship

· Coachability

· Athletic Ability
