BERGIEBALL 2024 –
INDOOR SPRING WORKOUT PROGRAM (7 SESSIONS) 

Note:  Why 7 sessions?  People said that last year’s program was too short at 4.  And a few years ago when I had 11 sessions in a row, people said that was too long.  So, 7 is right in the middle.

DATES:    MARCH 3, MARCH 10, MARCH 17, APRIL 7, APRIL 14, APRIL 21, APRIL 28

                 (WE SKIP MARCH 24 AND MARCH 31 FOR SPRING BREAK AND EASTER)

FOR:  ALL BALLPLAYERS (BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL) GRADES 1 – 8

INSTRUCTORS:   AT LEAST 7..UP TO 9… WILL BE BASED ON TOTAL NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

This camp is for all ballplayers (including house and travel players) wanting to work on improving their games.  Each week, the participants will work on the basics of hitting, fielding, throwing, running and other nuances of the game.  Because the balls are different for baseball and softball, the players will be training separately.  While baseballers are fielding, the softballers will be hitting…and vice versa.  Towards the end of each session, both groups will join to do additional conditioning and agility drills prior to leaving each session.

What will each player need to bring with them for each session?

• Hitting equipment – game bat, wood bat, batting gloves

• Fielding equipment – fielding glove/mitt

• Personal protection – batting helmet, arm guard (optional)… Face mask for softballer

• Water bottle – identified by their name or initial on it.

After they come in, what do they do?

• Put their bag in the designated area.  PARENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE TRAINING AREA, ONLY PARENTS AREA!!!!!

• Put their cell phones in their bags.  No phone usage will be allowed until after the session is over, unless for emergency usage.

• Put their water bottle in an easy to reach place.

Drop off/Pick up Guidelines.

• All players are to be dropped off and picked up at the front of the building.

• Instructors will be visible during drop off and pick-up transitions.

Sign-ups start on January 1, 2023, and are first come, first served!  Grab a friend and/or teammate and bring them along with you!  Carpooling makes it easier!  The capacity for this camp is 60 participants.
